Gold is money
There is an old proverb that reads: "Freedom is worth more than silver and gold". Who coined the term is unclear. Perhaps it was Sweden's Riksbank Governor Stefan Ingves hoping to defend the fiat currency (currency that is based solely on trust) as a concept. It is also often said that time is money. Something that is perhaps even more true is that precious metals, primarily gold and silver, are money.
