Overview

Invest in critical raw materials with AuAg Essential Metals

Metals have been essential in the development of human civilization. During the Bronze and Iron Ages, metals enabled humanity to take major leaps. During industrialism, industrial metals, such as iron, aluminium, copper, and zinc, became essential in building vehicles such as cars, trains, and airplanes. In today's electrified and growing high-tech world, humanity is entering a new metal age, increasingly defined by the demand for critical raw materials.

Critical metals are a matter of national interest

Those who control critical metals have influence over the building blocks of modern economies. This creates power to shape alliances, influence trade terms, and steer access to raw materials the world cannot do without. The EU's Critical Raw Materials Act is a direct response to this — a regulation designed to reduce Europe's dependence on other countries for these critical raw materials.

Copper, lithium, rare earths… the more central they become to the economy, the more important it becomes to secure access to them. Investing in the companies that produce them means positioning for that market dynamic.

Every major technology trend runs on metals

Power grids need copper. Batteries need lithium and cobalt. Semiconductors need gallium and germanium. There is no digital future, no power grid, no electric vehicle fleet and no advanced defence system without a steady supply of critical metals.

The demand is structural. It is driven by technology, not speculation. The fund AuAg Essential Metals gives investors exposure to the materials that make it all possible.

We are entering a new metal age

Humanity has always been shaped by the metals it could access. The Bronze Age. The Iron Age. The Industrial Age.

Today, we are entering a new age. One defined by rare earths, tech metals, and critical raw materials. The companies that mine and process these materials sit at the foundation of modern civilisation.

FAQ

How the Fund Invests in Silver and Selects Companies Based on Long Term Opportunities

Pros of investing in metals through AuAg Essential Metals: Access to critical raw materials that are instruments of economic strength and political influence; exposure to unstoppable megatrends (electrification, digitalization, green energy); geopolitical protection as nations compete for resource security; diversification across 30+ metals including industrial, and precious metals; professional management and daily liquidity through UCITS framework; and positioning in companies that control both extraction and processing, which provides strategic power. Considerations: Like all equity investments, the value may go down as well as up, and past performance is no indication of future performance. However, the fund's broad diversification across essential materials that enable modern civilization—from power grids to semiconductors—provides exposure to structural long-term demand drivers rather than cyclical commodity speculation.

AuAg Essential Metals provides comprehensive exposure to rare earth elements, which are among the most critical materials for modern technology. The fund invests in companies extracting and processing rare earth elements including dysprosium, praseodymium, neodymium, terbium, and scandium—all essential for electric vehicle motors, wind turbines, military systems, and high-tech applications. Rare earths have become particularly important geopolitically, with the EU introducing the Critical Raw Materials Act to reduce dependence on other countries. By investing in AuAg Essential Metals, you gain exposure to these strategic materials alongside other tech metals and industrial metals in a single, diversified fund with 25 equally-weighted holdings trading at 4% target weight each.

Metals and mining funds invest in companies that extract and process metals essential to modern civilization. AuAg Essential Metals is a broad sector fund that invests at least 90% in companies involved in extraction and processing of basic materials, with special focus on industrial and new technology metals. The fund covers two main categories: Industrial Metals (industrial base metals like iron, copper, aluminum, zinc) and Tech Metals (green-tech, high-tech, and bio-tech metals like lithium, rare earths, and cobalt). With 25 equally-weighted holdings and global investment without geographic restrictions, the fund provides comprehensive exposure to the metals and mining sector.

While traditional precious metals funds focus solely on gold and silver, AuAg Essential Metals offers a more comprehensive approach by including precious metals (platinum, palladium, silver, gold) alongside critical industrial and technology metals. This structure recognizes that modern precious metals have dual roles—both as stores of value and as essential industrial materials. The fund follows the UCITS (5/10/40) framework and invests globally without geographic restrictions. With 25 holdings equally weighted at 4% each and daily trading, it provides institutional-quality access to a diversified metals portfolio. For investors seeking pure precious metals exposure, AuAg also offers the Silver Bullet fund (silver-focused), AuAg Gold Rush (gold-focused) and Precious Green fund (40% gold allocation), but Essential Metals provides the broadest metals exposure including precious metals.

We are entering a new metal age driven by electrification and technological advancement. AuAg Essential Metals positions investors to benefit from this transformation through exposure to critical raw materials that enable everything from power grids and electric vehicles to semiconductors and digital infrastructure. The fund recognizes that metals like copper, aluminum, lithium, nickel, rare earth elements, and precious metals are not just commodities—they are instruments of economic strength and political influence. The EU's introduction of the Critical Raw Materials Act highlights how nations are competing to secure access to these strategic materials. With 25 globally-diversified holdings covering 30+ essential metals, the fund provides comprehensive exposure to materials that are indispensable for modern civilization and will only grow more critical as electrification and digitalization accelerate.
